CaseScribe’s Bulk Edit Mode, you can organize your medical chronologies, update tags, and refine your evidence in seconds rather than hours.
How to Access Bulk Edit Mode
To begin bulk editing, navigate to the Facts tab of your case.
Select a Fact: Click the checkbox on the left side of any individual fact.
Activate Bulk Actions: Once a fact is selected, the Bulk Actions toolbar will appear at the bottom of your list.
Select All: To manage every fact in your current view, click the Select All checkbox in the header row.
Powerful Bulk Actions
Once you have selected your desired facts, you can perform the following actions in one go:
Manage Tags: Add new tags to categorize evidence or remove outdated ones.
Edit Dates: Standardize or update fact dates across multiple entries.
Identify Key Evidence: Mark (or unmark) multiple entries as Key Facts to highlight them in your final report.
Group Facts: Organize related entries under a single clinical heading.
Bulk Delete: Permanently remove multiple irrelevant facts to declutter your chronology.
Filter Before You Bulk Edit: Always use the search or filter bar first. It is much safer to "Select All" on a filtered list of facts than to try and pick them out of a list of 500 mixed entries.
Pro-Tip: How to Rename a Tag (The "Filter & Swap" Workaround)
Currently, the most efficient way to "rename" an existing tag across your entire case is to use the Filter & Swap method. Follow these steps:
Filter the Tag: Use the filter tool at the left of the Facts list to select the tag you wish to rename (e.g., "Knee Pain"). This will hide all other facts.
Select All: Click the checkbox to select every fact currently visible in your filtered view or click select all.
Add New Tag: Click the Bulk Actions button, select Add Tag, and type in your new name (e.g., "Left Knee Injury").
Remove Old Tag: With the facts still selected, use the Bulk Actions again to Remove Tag and select the old one ("Knee Pain").
Why do this? This ensures that every piece of evidence previously labeled with the old tag is instantly migrated to your new, more accurate label without losing any data.
