We’ve just rolled out a fresh CaseScribe update with powerful new tools to speed up your workflow, reduce confusion, and give you better control over documents and key facts. Here’s what’s new:
1. New Key Facts View for Faster Case Review
We’ve introduced Key Facts, a new way to review cases that highlights the most important information at a glance.
Certain facts can be automatically treated as “key facts.”
Star important facts to mark them as Key Facts.
Easily toggle between Key Facts and All Facts to focus only on what matters most.
This replaces the older “Verify Fact” system for most users, streamlining the experience.
Look for the new star icon in the Facts tab — try it out!
2. Clearer Status for Documents with Missing Facts (Plus “Restart AI”)
We’ve made it much easier to understand why a document shows up with “no facts” in Documents Tab. Previously, documents with no facts all appeared together, whether that was expected or due to an error.
You’ll now see two clear categories:
Documents with No Facts (on purpose) – these don’t need facts, and that’s okay.
Documents with Missing Facts – something went wrong during processing.
You can now click “Restart AI” to retry any documents in the Missing Facts group.
How the System Decides What Counts as "Missing Facts"
To help you trust how the system works, here are key things to know:
“Missing Facts” = no errors + no facts (when facts were expected)
A document goes into Documents with Missing Facts only when:there is at least one fact-extraction (FTE) rule for that document subtype, and
those rules run without errors, but
no facts are extracted at all.
Successful fact extraction = No Warning
If a document has a fact extraction rule and it successfully pulls out any facts, it will not be flagged. Some documents (like CAPRI records) use multiple extraction rules
If some rules extract facts successfully while others don’t, the system treats it as a valid result. It will not show up in the missing facts section.
3. Better Speed for Big Documents
We've worked behind the scenes to make processing more efficient:
Large documents (even 2,000+ pages) should now upload and generate facts more quickly.
Reduced waiting times between processing steps by using smarter task handling and increased worker capacity.
We’re always working to make CaseScribe faster, clearer, and easier to use. If you have any feedback or questions, we’d love to hear from you!
