2025-07-21 Release Notes

Updated over 3 weeks ago

This release introduces several new features designed to enhance case preparation, document review, and fact extraction. Key improvements include AI-generated tag summaries, an updated document viewer layout, and expanded extraction rules for government and non-government medical records.

  1. Tag Summaries

We’ve introduced a new Tag Summary feature to help users more easily understand the evidence tied to each medical condition in a case.

Instead of scrolling through a long list of facts for each tag, you’ll now see a summarized view powered by a large language model. This summary highlights:

  • The key facts currently supporting the condition

  • A high-level overview that helps you evaluate the strength of the evidence

  • Potential areas where documentation may be lacking (e.g., for rating increases)

For example, if a condition like hypertension includes 15 individual facts, you’ll still be able to view each one but you’ll also get a concise summary at the top to guide your review.

This feature is visible in the Case Summary tab when you open a tag with attached facts. It's intended to reduce review time and make it easier to assess whether a condition might support a higher rating.

This feature aims to support better medical-legal review and preemptive gap analysis before submission or appeal.

2. Updated Document Viewer

We’ve redesigned the document viewer to streamline fact review and editing from the Documents tab:

  • Inline Preview: Documents now open on the right side of the screen, rather than in a modal.

  • Edit Document Details: Click the three-dot menu to update classification, color, type, and subtype.

  • Inline Fact Visibility and Editing: View and edit extracted facts directly from the Documents tab.

  • Verified Status Visibility: Verified documents now display a clear green label; unverified ones are shown in gray.

  • Resizable Layout: Expand the document pane to access metadata such as page count, batch info, and received date.

Note: While basic fact edits can be made here, we still recommend using the Facts tab for full fact review and tagging workflows.
