2025-11-10 Release Notes

Updated over 3 weeks ago

This CaseScribe update focuses on keeping you on the right page, making tags and summaries more accurate, and speeding up document processing especially for CAPRI records. We’ve also squashed several bugs that could interrupt your workflow.

1. Doc Viewer: You Stay on the Right Page

We’ve fixed several issues that could move you to the wrong place in a document:

  • When you open a fact in the Doc Viewer, it now opens on the correct page every time.

  • Switching between PDF/Text modes or Fit Width/Fit Page no longer sends you to the wrong page.

  • After you add or edit a fact, you’ll no longer be sent back to the beginning of the document.

  • Page information now stays accurate and up to date after closing the add/edit fact window.

2. Case Summary: More Accurate Tag Information

We’ve improved how tags are counted and displayed in the Case Summary:

  • Tag information now better reflects the real-world facts in the case.

  • Nested or indirect facts are no longer unintentionally inflating tag counts.

3. Tagging & Fact Editing Improvements

Working with tags and fact descriptions should feel more natural now:

  • Pressing Enter when editing a tag will behave more predictably, reducing the risk of accidentally deleting tags.

  • The Fact Description editor has been resized so you have more room to write and review text comfortably.

4. Cleaner Doc & Error Displays

A few small but noticeable fixes:

  • In the Docs tab, document index numbers now display correctly when using “Show Display Name”—no more extra zero tacked on.

  • A confusing “JSON parse error” message that some users were seeing has been resolved, so errors are less likely to appear in plain view.

5. More Reliable Login & Case Actions

We’ve tightened up some edge cases around access and case management:

  • If your account gets logged out while uploading documents, you’ll now be properly redirected back to the login page, instead of being left in a broken state.

6. Smarter, Faster Processing for CAPRI & Other Docs

Behind the scenes, we’ve made document processing more efficient and accurate:

  • For CAPRI documents, we now rely directly on the digital text already inside the PDF, instead of running unnecessary OCR.

    • This means faster processing times and fewer chances for OCR-related errors on CAPRI records.

We’re continuing to refine CaseScribe so your reviews stay smooth, accurate, and frustration-free.

If you run into anything that still feels off, please let us know — your feedback directly shapes these updates.
