2025-09-13 Release Notes

Updated this week

This release includes new collaboration capabilities, user interface improvements, and important safeguards that enhance reliability, clarity, and control across CaseScribe. Here’s what’s new:

Guest Sharing

Law firms can now securely grant case-specific access to external collaborators using the new Guest Sharing feature.

  • Guest users will only see the clients explicitly shared with them.

  • Within shared clients, guests have full access to edit client details, manage facts, and invite other guests.

  • Guest users cannot view the user directory or create new clients.

  • For security, client access cannot be granted to a guest until they have accepted their email invitation.

Confirmation Prompt for Hidden Documents

To prevent accidental actions, a confirmation dialog has been added when hiding documents.

  • Users will now be prompted to confirm before a document is removed from view, reducing the risk of unintentional changes to the case record.

Upload Error Notification Banner

A new banner (Red Error Icon) will now appear on upper right side of the screen in cases where document files are successfully uploaded to storage but fail to complete processing in the system.

  • This message advises users to contact support when uploads do not complete as expected.

  • Internally, we’re also tracking the frequency of this issue to improve system stability.

Automatic Upload Retry on Connection Failure

CaseScribe now includes enhanced retry logic for uploads that fail due to network interruptions.

  • The system will automatically retry up to three times before showing an error, minimizing disruptions during case preparation.

Improved Handling of DES Ratings with No Effective Date

Our system now supports DES (Disability Evaluation System) rating codesheets that lack an effective date.

  • This enhancement ensures that active-duty proposed ratings are processed without error, supporting more accurate downstream analysis and AI responses.

We continue to evolve CaseScribe in direct response to user feedback and workflow needs. If you have suggestions or encounter issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
