2025-09-02 Release Notes

Updated this week

We’re thrilled to roll out AI Chat for Case Facts. A brand-new way to work with your cases in CaseScribe. This feature lets you chat with an AI assistant that understands your current filters, so you can quickly summarize facts, draft briefs, or generate IME letters without losing context.

AI Chat with Context Awareness

  • Launch AI chat directly from the Case Summary, Tag Filters, or the global “Ask AI” button in the header.

  • The chat automatically respects your active filters (like “diabetes” or “PTSD”), so answers are always relevant.

  • A context indicator shows which filters are applied, and starting a new chat clears them for a fresh start.

  • If you ask about facts outside your filters, the AI clearly lets you know.

Fast, Reliable, and Transparent

  • Answers arrive in few seconds, streaming live as they generate.

  • Every fact comes with source attribution back to the original document.

  • You can also create a new fact directly from the AI’s results.

  • If something goes wrong, you’ll see clear error messages with retry options.

User Experience Designed for You

  • Dynamic welcome messages tailored to your current context.

  • Suggested prompts (like drafting briefs or medical letters) that you can click to start right away.

  • Chat history is saved and can be revisited by clicking the “Ask AI” button in the same place you originally started the conversation (Case Summary, Tag Filters, or global header).

  • Clean, distraction-free layout that keeps your focus on the case.

Limitations to Keep in Mind

  • A very large number of facts may sometimes cause errors since the AI can only handle a limited context at once.

  • Applying filters before using AI chat will help keep results accurate and avoid these errors.

This update is all about speed, clarity, and confidence: you get instant AI help, tied directly to your facts, with full traceability back to your sources.
