This release introduces two major upgrades designed to make large, complex cases easier to review and reason through: AI-Powered Fact Grouping and a more agentic AI Chat. Together, they reduce noise, surface what matters most, and help you move from information to insight faster.
1. AI-Powered Fact Grouping
CaseScribe can now automatically identify and group duplicate or overlapping facts into a single, consolidated umbrella fact, dramatically reducing clutter in large cases.
How it works
Fact grouping runs automatically after document processing for new cases
Redundant facts from similar or overlapping documents are grouped together
Each group produces a synthesized summary that preserves all key details
Clear source attribution links back to the original documents
This reduces noise from duplicate VA submissions and repetitive medical records while preserving full context and traceability.
Full visibility and control
A new Grouped Facts filter is available in the Facts tab
Grouped Facts: Yes → shows only umbrella facts
Grouped Facts: No → shows only individual, ungrouped facts
The filter works like existing filters, making it easy to audit or validate results
Key facts, comments, and navigation remain intact
If any fact in a group is marked as a Key Fact, the grouped fact inherits that status
Comments from individual facts are preserved with clear attribution
If a fact is removed from a group, its original comments are fully restored
Documents appear correctly even when all their facts are grouped
Opening grouped facts takes you to the correct document and page range
Manual control and cleaner exports
Grouping applies automatically to new cases
Existing cases remain unchanged
Exports include grouped (umbrella) facts by default
Exported facts reference the primary document and page range for accuracy
The result is cleaner reviews, faster exports, and far less duplication — without losing trust or detail.
2. More Agentic AI Chat
ASK AI Chatbot is now significantly smarter and more proactive when working with complex cases. Instead of relying only on what’s visible, it can actively search, reason, and surface the most relevant information based on your question.
Smarter search and reasoning
AI Chat can now:
Search your case using keywords from your question
Identify the most relevant facts automatically
Read supporting documents such as rating decisions, medical records, C&P exams, and personal statements
Pull exact language when needed to support its answers
AI Chat can now read document contents directly and not just facts.
Clear guidance for large cases
AI Chat now clearly explains its limitations when working with very large fact sets
If needed, it will prompt you to apply filters to keep the active context manageable
This ensures responses stay accurate, focused, and reliable
This update is all about clarity, efficiency, and confidence: fewer duplicates, smarter AI assistance, and complete transparency into where every fact comes from.
As always, your feedback continues to shape how CaseScribe evolves.
