This update introduces improvements to document uploads, fact editing, tagging behavior, and export limits. The goal is to reduce confusion, improve clarity, and give users more control over key workflows.
1. New Document Upload Flow with Source Naming
The document upload process now includes a required step for assigning a Source Name to uploaded files:
A default source name (e.g., “05/20/2025 upload”) is suggested. Users can change it or select from existing sources.
If other sources exist in the case, they appear as selectable radio buttons.
The text box and radio buttons stay synchronized to reflect changes in real-time.
The Save button activates only when a valid source name is entered.
The X (cancel) button has been removed from the Source panel to prevent mid-process cancellation.
These changes support clearer tracking of uploaded documents and reduce naming inconsistencies.
2. Increased Export File Size Limit
The export size limit has increased from 1 GB to 3 GB, making it easier to export larger case files without splitting them into multiple downloads.
3. Optional Auto-Tagging for Manually Created Facts
Auto-tagging for manually created facts is now optional per organization:
Organizations can request to disable auto-tagging for facts created manually.
When disabled, no tags will be added unless a new Rating Decision Codesheet is introduced to the case.
When enabled, tags will continue to apply as usual.
This feature is configurable via the CaseScribe admin team and helps teams maintain more control over tagging behavior.
4. Updates to Fact Actions and Selection Behavior
Fact interaction has been improved in the following ways:
Selected facts now display full buttons with text labels (instead of icons only), helping reduce confusion around available actions.
Users can now return directly to the selected fact in long scrollable views using the “Return to selected facts” button. This improves navigation and reduces time spent searching.
5. Auto-Resizing Title Field in Fact Modal
The Fact field in the Add/Edit Fact modal now auto-resizes based on content. This makes it easier to view long text entries without needing to scroll or manually adjust field size.
6. Improved Auto-Tagging Performance
Auto-tagging is now significantly faster, especially when processing large batches of documents. Delays experienced during OCR and extraction have been addressed, resulting in quicker tagging completion times.
7. Expand Rows Mode: Buttons Show Only for Selected Fact
In Expand Rows mode on the Facts tab, the active action buttons will now appear only for the selected fact. This reduces screen clutter and makes it easier to focus on individual items.
