How to Use Upload History in CaseScribe

Upload History allows you to view and manage previous document uploads associated with a case.

From Upload History, you can see when documents were uploaded, who uploaded them, how many documents were included, and the status of each upload. You can also view the documents associated with an upload, rename an upload, or delete an upload when needed.

Accessing Upload History

To view the Upload History for a case:

  1. Open the client and case you want to review.

  2. Navigate to the Documents tab.

  3. Open Upload History.

The Upload History panel displays a record of previous document uploads associated with the case.

Understanding Upload History

Each upload includes information that can help you identify and track document batches.

You can view:

  • Upload date and name – Shows when the upload was added and the name assigned to it.

  • Uploaded by – Shows the user who uploaded the documents.

  • Number of documents – Shows how many documents are associated with the upload.

  • Upload status – Shows the status of the upload.

This can be especially helpful when a case has received multiple document batches over time or when several team members are uploading documents to the same case.

Viewing Documents from an Upload

You can use Upload History to identify which documents are associated with a specific upload.

  1. Go to the Documents tab.

  2. Open Upload History.

  3. Locate the upload you want to review.

  4. View the documents associated with that upload.

This makes it easier to determine which documents were included in a particular batch without having to identify them individually from the full Documents list.

Renaming an Upload

If an upload needs a clearer or more descriptive name, you can rename it from Upload History.

Using descriptive upload names can make it easier to identify document batches later, especially when a case receives multiple uploads over time.

For example:

  • VBMS eFolder – Initial Upload

  • Updated eFolder – October 2026

  • Medical Records – October 2026

To rename an upload:

  1. Open Upload History from the Documents tab.

  2. Locate the upload you want to rename.

  3. Select the option to rename the upload.

  4. Enter the new name and save your changes.

Deleting an Upload

Upload History also allows you to delete an upload when needed.

This is useful when you need to remove an uploaded batch rather than managing the documents from that upload individually.

To delete an upload:

  1. Open Upload History from the Documents tab.

  2. Locate the upload you want to delete.

  3. Select the option to delete the upload.

  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the deletion.

Before deleting an upload, make sure you have selected the correct upload.

Using Upload History to Manage Document Batches

Upload History provides a central place to track the document batches that have been added to a case.

For example, if your team uploads an updated VBMS eFolder, using a descriptive upload name can help distinguish the new batch from earlier uploads. You can then return to Upload History to see when the upload occurred, who uploaded it, its status, and the documents associated with it.

This gives your team better visibility into how and when documents were added to a case and makes it easier to manage multiple uploads over time.
