2026-01-20 Release Notes

Updated this week

This release focuses on giving you more control over how facts are displayed, improving readability when adding facts, and fixing several navigation and stability issues that could disrupt your workflow. Here’s what’s new and improved:

1. New: Personal Default for Key Facts vs. All Facts

You can now choose how facts are displayed by default when opening a case.

  • Set your Key Fact Filter Preference in your Profile settings

  • Choose between:

    • Default to Key Facts

    • Default to All Facts

  • Your preference is applied automatically when opening new cases

This setting is saved at the user level, giving you a more personalized experience across cases.

2. New: Automatic Fix for Fact Formatting Issues

Adding facts from search results or documents just got easier and cleaner.

  • With new updates, system now automatically removes excessive line breaks and improves readability

  • Works across different types of poorly formatted content

3. Improved Document Link Hover Details

Document links now provide more helpful context at a glance.

  • Hovering over document links now shows the full document name

  • Applies to:

    • Chat AI responses

    • Tag summaries

    • Key Fact summaries

This makes it easier to understand exactly where a fact came from before clicking.

4. Clearer Language in Tag Summaries

We’ve updated the messaging in Tag Summaries to be more intuitive.

  • “Try Again Later” has been replaced with “Click to Generate”

  • This better reflects what action is available and reduces confusion

5. Improved Fact Navigation and Stability

We resolved several issues that could cause disorientation while reviewing facts.

  • Documents now open directly to the referenced page range, not page one

  • The Facts tab now opens on the correct page consistently

  • Fixed an issue where facts could visually “jump” while viewing them

These changes help keep your focus exactly where it should be.

We’re continuing to polish the experience based on how you actually use CaseScribe day to day. As always, your feedback helps guide what we improve next.

Thanks for building with us.
