This release introduces new organization settings, a more flexible document reader, and Upload History to make managing documents and customizing CaseScribe easier.
Here's what's new:
1. New Organization Admin Settings
We've expanded the organization settings to give firm administrators more control over how CaseScribe works for their teams.
Three new sections are now available under Settings:
Firm Settings
Organization admins can now manage how CaseScribe handles fact extraction and other available features.
You can:
Enable or disable automatic Key Fact assignment
Enable or disable Fact Grouping
Control automatic tagging for extracted and manually created facts
Choose which tags CaseScribe automatically applies: Condition Tags, Generic Tags, or both
View which features are included in your organization's plan
These settings apply across your organization, allowing firms to configure CaseScribe based on their preferred workflow.
Ask AI Prompts
Organization admins can now manage the Ask AI prompt templates available to their teams.
You can:
Enable or disable existing prompt templates
Replace default prompts with your firm's own versions
Create custom prompts for your organization
Control which prompts are available to your team in Ask AI
This makes it easier to customize Ask AI workflows to match your firm's review and drafting needs.
Insight Checks
A new Insight Checks section is available under organization settings.
For organizations with Insights included in their plan, this section provides access to the available AI insight checks.
Organizations without Insights can contact the CaseScribe team to learn more about adding this feature.
This is also in Beta test.
2. New: Super Reader for Documents
We've introduced a new document reader that gives you more flexibility when reviewing case files.
You can now open documents in a separate browser window, allowing you to move the reader to another monitor or expand it for a larger viewing experience.
The new reader also includes:
Adjustable layout: Show or hide the Documents panel and right-side information panel to customize your workspace
Document navigation: Browse documents directly from the reader without returning to the main Documents tab
Facts, Notes, and Ask AI: Access related case information alongside the document
PDF and Text views: Switch between the original PDF and extracted text
Fact creation: Add facts while reviewing the source document
This makes it easier to review documents alongside your case information, especially when working with multiple monitors.
3. New: Upload History
You can now view and manage previous document uploads directly from the Documents tab.
The new Upload History panel provides a record of uploads associated with your case, including:
Upload date and name
User who uploaded the documents
Number of documents included
Upload status
You can also view the documents associated with an upload, rename an upload, or delete an upload when needed.
This gives your team better visibility into when documents were added, who uploaded them, and which files belong to each upload.
4. New: Dark Mode
CaseScribe now supports Dark Mode, giving you more flexibility in how the application looks while you work.
You can choose between three appearance settings:
Light: Use CaseScribe's standard light appearance.
Dark: Switch to a darker interface for a more comfortable viewing experience.
System: Choose the system appearance option.
Your selected preference is saved to your account, so you don't have to set it again each time you log in.
5. Additional Improvements
We've also made several smaller improvements across CaseScribe:
Fact Filters: Newly added tags now appear in the Facts filter panel without requiring a page refresh.
Client Tags: Improved scrolling when selecting tags while adding or editing a client.
PDF Exports: Improved handling of damaged PDFs that could previously cause combined exports to fail.
User Management: Updated the user details screen for more consistent navigation and clearer member-management actions.
This update focuses on more control over your firm's settings, easier document review, and better visibility into document uploads, helping your team work more efficiently in CaseScribe.
